RESPONSIBLE TRAVEL

Responsible travel is a way of traveling that aims to minimise the negative impact of tourism on the environment, local communities, and economies, while maximising the benefits. It is a process that involves being mindful of our actions on the places we visit, and so that we make conscious choices. Responsible travel can encompass a wide range of activities, including ecotourism, sustainable tourism, cultural tourism, and more. Some examples of responsible travel practices include using public transport or cycling instead of renting cars, shopping from local markets instead of chains, and choosing accommodations that prioritise sustainability and social responsibility. By practicing responsible travel, we can help to preserve the planet’s natural wonders, support local communities and economies, and create meaningful and authentic travel experiences for ourselves.
