Mandalay Hall is a heritage property located in the
heart of ‘Jew Town’ at Mattancherry. This area, around
the Paradesi Synagogue, was once the centre of the
Cochin Jews who settled here around the 16th century.
The quaint home was initially owned by a Jewish family
who had business associations in Mandalay, the
second largest city and the last royal capital of (Burma)
Myanmar; hence the name ‘Mandalay Hall’. The
original tenants are said to have migrated to Israel.

Preserving the integrity and history of the Hall’s structure,
we created a new space that compliments Kochi’s
burgeoning art scene. Mandalay Hall hosts a boutique
art hotel, a design store. a contemporary Kerala
restaurant, അ , and Panchaloham a heritage jewellery
store.

Over the past few years, Mandalay Hall served as a
venue for various art and cultural exhibitions including
the Kochi Muziris Biennale.
